Koha for hotels

Koha, gift voucher software for hotels in French Polynesia

Koha is online gift voucher management software, published in Tahiti by Devlab. A hotel issues vouchers for its rooms, spa and restaurant, emails them as PDFs in its own style, checks them with a signed QR code at the front desk or in the restaurant, and keeps a trace of every action, from payment to validation.

One catalogue per activity

Each department, rooms, spa or restaurant, sorts its services by category, with price, validity, terms of sale and custom fields. Departments keep their own catalogue, teams and vouchers.

Vouchers in the hotel’s style

A free amount in XPF or a service from the catalogue, singly or in batches for a corporate order. You import your own PDF templates, then place the QR code and the fields where you want them.

Checked where the voucher is presented

At the front desk, the spa or the restaurant, a mobile phone reads the QR code. Koha checks its signature and the voucher status without using it up, then validation records the use. On a shared workstation, each operator unlocks with a personal PIN.

Management and finance see everything

Payments are recorded, card, cash or bank transfer for corporate orders, and a voucher awaiting payment is never sent. The audit log says who did what, and when. CSV exports serve accounting.

From Tahiti to the outer islands

Koha runs online: it works from Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora or any other island, with a browser for the team and a mobile phone to read QR codes. Devlab, its publisher, is based in Tahiti.

Pricing for a hotel

  • Koha costs 5,900 XPF per month for a single service or 49,900 XPF per month for several services, plus a one-off setup fee.
  • Mono-service: 5,900 XPF per month and a one-off 29,000 XPF setup fee, excluding tax.
  • Multi-services: 49,900 XPF per month and a one-off 249,000 XPF setup fee, excluding tax.
  • A restaurant, a spa, a shop or a hotel with a single activity is Mono-service. A hotel that also runs its restaurant or spa is Multi-services.
  • One fixed price per establishment, with no Koha commission: the number of vouchers never changes the bill. Custom options and payment fees are not included.

Hotel questions

How much does Koha cost?

Koha costs 5,900 XPF per month for a single service or 49,900 XPF per month for several services, plus a one-off setup fee.

Does Koha take card payments online?

No. Koha records the payment received by your team: card, cash or bank transfer for corporate orders. A voucher stays pending, and is not sent, until the payment is confirmed.

Can customers buy a voucher themselves on a website?

Not with Koha. There is no public shop and no buyer account: your staff issue the vouchers and remain the customer’s contact from start to finish.

What if a voucher is presented twice?

A fully used service cannot be validated a second time. For a voucher with several services or steps, the check shows those still available, and the history says when and by whom each use was recorded.

Is Koha related to the Koha library system?

No. Koha, the gift voucher software published by Devlab in Tahiti, has no connection with Koha, the open source library management system.
