Koha for restaurants

Koha, gift voucher software for restaurants in Tahiti

Koha is online gift voucher management software, published in Tahiti by Devlab. A restaurant issues gift vouchers for a free amount or a menu from its catalogue, emails them as PDFs in its own style and checks them in the dining room with a scan of a signed QR code, with a record of every use.

Updated on

An amount or a menu

A free amount in XPF or a service from the catalogue, such as dinner for two. Depending on its type, the voucher is used in one go, in steps or service by service, and the check shows the uses still available.

Checked in the dining room

The QR code is read with the restaurant phone. Koha checks its signature and the voucher status without using it up. A cancelled, expired or already used voucher is refused, and the history says when and by whom each use was recorded.

Holidays and corporate orders

Several vouchers, several services, one batch: payment, by bank transfer for corporate orders, and delivery are handled together. Each voucher is sent as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Figures for accounting

Key figures, monthly revenue and CSV exports for accounting. On the till workstation, each operator unlocks with a personal PIN, and their validations carry their name.

Pricing for a restaurant

  • Koha costs 5,900 XPF per month for a single service or 49,900 XPF per month for several services, plus a one-off setup fee.
  • Mono-service: 5,900 XPF per month and a one-off 29,000 XPF setup fee, excluding tax.
  • Multi-services: 49,900 XPF per month and a one-off 249,000 XPF setup fee, excluding tax.
  • A restaurant, a spa, a shop or a hotel with a single activity is Mono-service. A hotel that also runs its restaurant or spa is Multi-services.
  • One fixed price per establishment, with no Koha commission: the number of vouchers never changes the bill. Custom options and payment fees are not included.

Restaurant questions

How much does Koha cost?

Koha costs 5,900 XPF per month for a single service or 49,900 XPF per month for several services, plus a one-off setup fee.

Does Koha take card payments online?

No. Koha records the payment received by your team: card, cash or bank transfer for corporate orders. A voucher stays pending, and is not sent, until the payment is confirmed.

What do staff need at the counter?

A mobile phone with a camera is enough to read the QR code. A cancelled, expired or already used voucher is refused.

What if a voucher is presented twice?

A fully used service cannot be validated a second time. For a voucher with several services or steps, the check shows those still available, and the history says when and by whom each use was recorded.

Is Koha related to the Koha library system?

No. Koha, the gift voucher software published by Devlab in Tahiti, has no connection with Koha, the open source library management system.
